Many of you have let me know that some of my image pairings & arrangements pop up in other venues such as Facebook Swipe groups (esp. the great COMICS SWIPES Facebook group). Well, I'm flattered the posts are popular and that people enjoy PANELOCITY's swipes and "inspired bys", regardless of where they are presented. After all, the Internet is meant for sharing, right?

Fantastic Four #144 (Pt 27) Krrak!

Fantastic Four 56 Stan Lee-Jack Kirby
1966: Fantastic Four #56  Jack Kirby
Fantastic Four 144 Conway-Buckler
1974: Fantastic Four #144  Buckler
Fun fact: Both KRRAK!s were lettered by artful Artie Simek.

Next up: the estimable Giant-Size Super-Stars #1, published in February 1974.  I think you'll be surprised by several of the source panels, especially the ones involving the mighty Thundra.

Fantastic Four #147 Part 9

Continuing with this page from FF #147, let's check out the third and fourth panels.

FF#147 panel 4 is a fairly standard, ubitiquous image of an irritable, impatient Reed.

Fantastic Four #147 (1974) Buckler
There are numerous examples of angry Reed faces throughout Kirby's FF run.  Given the head tilt plus the fact that we've already come across many other #47-inspired images in #147, let's stick with #47 and go with this Reed face from--you guessd it--FF #47.

The following: Maybe, maybe not...What do you think?
These next sequences are more in the "somewhat based on" category. Perhaps inspired by?  Namor's positioning in this panel tier could be based on Black Bolt and Reed's in a tier from Fantastic Four #47.

In addition, the detailing for those two #147 panels may be based on Kirby's Namor in Captain America #112. I love these Namor panels! ❤
