Many of you have let me know that some of my image pairings & arrangements pop up in other venues such as Facebook Swipe groups (esp. the great COMICS SWIPES Facebook group). Well, I'm flattered the posts are popular and that people enjoy PANELOCITY's swipes and "inspired bys", regardless of where they are presented. After all, the Internet is meant for sharing, right?

Fantastic Four #64 (1967) Jack Kirby/Joe Sinnott

And sure enough,  #143's Reed and Medusa are patterned after #64's Reed and Sue!

Fun fact: Marvel's Greatest Comics #47 reprinted FF #64 with the Kirby cover slightly tweaked by John Romita Sr. and was on sale about a month prior to FF#143.

Let's take a look at the five panels that comprise page 15 of FF #147.

Breaking it down:

The following: Maybe, maybe not...What do you think?
These next sequences are more in the "somewhat based on" category. Perhaps inspired by?  Namor's positioning in this panel tier could be based on Black Bolt and Reed's in a tier from Fantastic Four #47.

In addition, the detailing for those two #147 panels may be based on Kirby's Namor in Captain America #112. I love these Namor panels! ❤
