Many of you have let me know that some of my image pairings & arrangements pop up in other venues such as Facebook Swipe groups (esp. the great COMICS SWIPES Facebook group). Well, I'm flattered the posts are popular and that people enjoy PANELOCITY's swipes and "inspired bys", regardless of where they are presented. After all, the Internet is meant for sharing, right?

Fantastic Four #150 (Pt 17) More Mighty Thor

Fantastic Four 150-Buckler-COnway-Avengers
Fantastic Four #150 (1974) Rich Buckler-Joe Sinnott

Thor  Annual #2 (1966) Jack Kirby-Vince Colletta

Who'd have guessed Iron Man--in his mask, yet--and Odin share the same cheekbone structure? ;)

Plus! You can see more of Thor as a guest at Crystal and Quicksilver's wedding here.

Fantastic Four #149 (Pt 10) Mr. Fantastic's Gaze

Fantastic Four 132-Buscema-RoyThomas
Fantastic Four 149-Buckler-Conway-SubMariner

I wanted to post these panel tiers that are from two different Fantastic Four issues that were produced nearly a year and half apart:
Top row: Fantastic Four #132 (April 1973) John Buscema
Bottom row: Fantastic Four #149 (August 1974) Rich Buckler

You can see how seamlessly they flow into one another; of course both issues were embellished by that most extraordinary of inkers, the incomparable Joe Sinnott (as if you couldn't tell). Sinnott's finishes helped maintain a consistent look for the FF from the second half of the 1960s well into the 1970s.  It's Joltin' Joe's 88th birthday today, so let's all wish him a great one!
