Many of you have let me know that some of my image pairings & arrangements pop up in other venues such as Facebook Swipe groups (esp. the great COMICS SWIPES Facebook group). Well, I'm flattered the posts are popular and that people enjoy PANELOCITY's swipes and "inspired bys", regardless of where they are presented. After all, the Internet is meant for sharing, right?

Fantastic Four #152 (Pt 10) Reed Richards, Professional Nut

Ah, one of my all-time favorite panels, from FF #37. Who could ever forget Ben calling Reed  "a professional nut" ?

In the "reminds me of" category: Ben is more even more agitated in Brett Booth's Fantastic Four Vol. 2 issue #9. Who could ever forget Heroes Reborn? ;)

  1. Not much to say, but loving this blog. With most FF blogs I find myself disagreeing and wishing the writer had read more carefully. But whenever I come here I'm all "I never realised that! That's really interesting!" I hope you never get bored.

That Thing image always makes me smile - in the comic they pretty much admitted they had to ink the whole thing in five minutes while the printer was tapping his foot and looking at his watch. I love those flying-by-the-seat-of-their-pants 1970s issues!

  2. Hi Chris,

Thanks for the kind words--it's always a pleasure to hear from the creator behind the most comprehensive, thought-provoking Fantastic Four site out there!

Love your spot-on description of the rushed quality of those issues.

I'm not getting bored--yet--and I have lots more from this era to post, but I may throw in another artist or two to vary things a bit. Keep watching! :)
